I approached Socque because I knew I should shoot this campaign. Socque, a brand made by Parisian women in Montmartre, what more to say? These shoes have accompanied my every mood in the streets of New York for the last four months, and made it look like a statement. The artist, the homebody, the Soho shopper, the worried writer, the I don’t know what this means but it’s cool cle, all wore Socque. Just enough French girl class to balance out the chaos I exude, and there you have it, it’s a story, its a statement, it’s an identity; it’s style.
« Call me crazy but I love that New York gritty humid heat. The feeling that you might melt into part of the pavement if you stand in one place for too long. Maybe that’s why we’re always in a rush; like fish swimming to breathe we don’t stop to find out whether we’ll be swallowed up by the same place we call home. » CLÉLIA
